Precious Dreams & Comfort
On Saturday, March 22, 2014 the Precious Dreams Foundation led another special donation initiative inspired by their continuous pursuit and goal to assist in providing children with a safe and loving home.
Hope For Youth received 50 of their special comfort bags filled with books and teddy bears for our younger children, while bags for our teens were stuffed with books and fuzzy slippers.
Statistics show that children who are moved from home to home have an increased chance of suffering from anxiety and sleepless nights due to nightmares and depression. The comfort bags they create offer youth a constant reminder that they are not alone. After experiencing a personal story in the national foster care system, Nicole Russell, President of the Foundation has made it her charge to provide comfort and hope to youth in care.
Hope For Youth is inspired by this power of change within the community. We are so grateful to the Precious Dreams Foundation for partnering with us and encouraging our youth to know that they are valued and treasured.

Po & Dice Share Inspirational Message for PDF and Hope For Youth Programs
Amityville, NY-On Thursday May 9th at 7 pm the Precious Dreams Foundation and Reality Stars, Candice "Dice" Dixon and Po Johnson, shared an inspirational message with the teen girls from Hope For Youth's various programs. The event was held at Christian Life Center Church located at 450 Bayview Avenue, Amityville, NY. In addition, each young lady received a custom comfort bag complete with items to ease their transition from care at the agency to a foster care home or other alternative placement. The gift bags were stuffed with pajamas, journals, stuffed animals and other items to provide comfort during a difficult time. During a self-esteem exercise, the teens were encouraged to customize their bags with their unique style. The bags were then autographed by Po and Dice.
Agencies like Hope For Youth provide comfort and stability for a young life during a traumatic period guiding them to a better tomorrow. When Dr. David Hegarty, Executive Director and CEO of Hope for Youth learned of the event and Miracle's story, he said, "At Hope For Youth, we believe every child is a miracle. We are grateful to the Precious Dreams Foundation for taking action to reinforce a positive message of love and caring."
